When I arrived at the ballpark it was 7-4 in the 6th inning. The game was tied at 3 after 3 innings.
Sophmore Kate Trump started in the pitching circle for Bethlehem Academy going the first 4 1/3 innings. When she stopped pitching and went to shortstop eighth grader Morgan Wilson came in to pitch.
In the bottom of the 5th BA 8th grader Anna Demars was safe on an error to start the inning. She stole second and stole third base then scored on a ground out. That would be the last score for the Cardinals.
With one out in the bottom of the third inning #9 batter Demars hit a single. During the next batter’s trip to the plate Demars stole second base. With two outs Anna Cohen had a bunt single .
Trump hammered a double to score two runs and would score later on a fielder’s choice.
