Fort George Brewery – Production, Costing, & Brew Supply Chain Manager – Craft Beer Job Listing

Fort George Brewery is announcing the creation of a new position specializing in production management, inventory costing, & brewery supply chain management. This person will totally own our OBeer workflows, i.e. responsible for the ongoing analysis and control of inventory and cost of goods in the brewery, and ultimately oversee the process development, data entry, and continuous improvements to the brewery’s OrchestratedBeer ERP system while offering cost-accounting support to various operating groups. This position will be instrumental in maintaining accurate work-in-progress perpetual inventory records, developing standard ordering processes, standard cost, and manufacturing variance reporting. This is a full-time exempt position that works M-F, but will occasionally include weekends, evenings, holidays and extended hours as the need arises. Fort George Brewery & Distribution is a growing company in historic Astoria, Oregon which operates two separate breweries (small-batch and production/packaging), a craft-only distributorship, full-service destination restaurants, a small beer focused taproom, and which is preparing to expand into a new production facility this year.

-A minimum of 5 years of mid- to upper-level experience in a brewery manufacturing environment and ideally a minimum of 2 years of cost accounting experience
-Experience with Orchestra Beer/SAP Business One a significant plus
-BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance/Computer Science/Business, or equivalent experience
-Knowledge of internal controls, cost accounting methods, and cost modeling tools and methods
-Ability to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and synthesis. Ability to take ownership of inventory software programs and assist others in understanding and working with it effectively and accurately
-Strong team player who’s able to collaborate across multiple functions and disciplines and lead by example. Project management skills a plus
-Excellent analytical skills, and can be trusted with sensitive and confidential material
