Ryan Kaji is just an eight-year-old kid. His first YouTube channel named ‘Ryan’s World’ was launched back in 2015 to review toys for family members and other youngsters. At that time, Ryan was a three-year-old.
The channel which was started as ‘Ryan Toys Review’ and later came to be known as ‘Ryan’s World’ has grown to have a subscriber base of 25.8 million. Apart from the English channels on YouTube, they have Spanish and Japanese channels too.
Forbes, in its list of ‘Highest-Paid YouTuber stars 2019’, has ranked Ryan Kaji as Number 1. In the same survey conducted for June 1, 2017, to June 1, 2018, Ryan Kaji was ranked the highest with earnings of $22 million.
With earnings equal to $26 million in 2019 according to Forbes, Ryan Kaji is the highest-paid content creator with 25.8 million subscribers.
In 2015, three-year-old Ryan Kaji started a YouTube channel by unboxing and reviewing more than 100 toys.
How Ryan Kaji became a brand
Today, YouTube channel ‘Ryan’s World’ has grown beyond just a channel and has entered clothing items, magazines, a show on Nickelodeon, a deal with Hulu and more.
With 80 brands licensed in his family’s ‘Ryan’s World’ empire- including toothpaste, mandarin oranges, television shows and video games Forbes financial magazine has calculated that the family earned $22 million in 2018.
According to Forbes’ magazine, a major portion of Ryan’s earning came from the ads in his videos. It also states that 96 percent of his revenue came from ads while the remaining amount came from sponsored posts.

Ryan Kaji’s family produces videos — his parents bought a large production studio for $1.2 million in 2017 in the Houston suburbs. They own a 6,200 square-foot house with a large swimming pool.
It is just one of the three properties Ryan’s family owns in the area. They also own a 5-bedroom, 5 bathroom house worth $1 million in a nearby gated community and a more modest $190,000 three-bedroom home purchased in 2014.

The YouTube channels of Ryan Kaji, originally Ryan Guan, have become the most popular in the US, with 4 million subscribers and its videos having been watched 6.5 billion times by September 2016.
During this time, Forbes had called Ryan the eighth-highest-paid YouTube entrepreneur, generating $11 million in revenue through 2016.
