OKEMOS – Publicom Inc. is giving back in a big way as it enters its 41st year. The full-service marketing communications firm has created the Publicom 40+1 Grant. It offers 40 free hours of marketing communication services plus one year of mentoring to help a business or organization – for-profit or not-for-profit – thrive beyond the pandemic.

“Publicom is fortunate to have enjoyed many decades of prosperity,” said Lisa O’Connor, Publicom president and owner. “We believe that giving back during this time of crisis is a meaningful way to help the community that has supported us for 41 years.”
Publicom partnered with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) to help promote the 40+1 Grant, valued at $9,000. Eligible organizations are not required to be a Lansing chamber member or associated with LEAP.
“We had planned to announce the grant earlier this year to mark our 41st year in business, but when the coronavirus hit, businesses were understandably scrambling,” O’Connor continued. “Now that many businesses will be re-opening, we believe our expertise can be of real assistance to help get an organization back on track.”
The free 40 hours include any of Publicom’s in-house services:
- marketing research
- strategy and planning
- creative services (e.g., copywriting, design, video editing)
- public relations
- internal engagement
- social media/digital marketing
- media planning and buying
The one year of free ongoing support entails two hours per month of mentoring/consulting.
